台灣文化篇-休閒-Karaoke

Karaoke Boxes consist of multiple rooms containing karaoke equipment, usually rented out for time periods, and refreshments are also served. Because karaoke boxes are convenient and comfortable, so many young Taiwanese like singing karaoke on the weekend, or on their special day, such as birthday, reunion of old friends. They can spend all day long in the boxes—singing, talking, dancing, or taking a good rest. In Taiwan, there are two main karaoke chain systems- Party World and Holiday. It becomes a common culture in Taiwanese society. We also call KTV(an abbreviation of karaoke television ), even simply abbreviating it as “K” when used as a verb, such as in usages like "去K歌 (To go "K" songs)."
